Metric blind spots on Thai platforms
Interfaces arrive in English. Audience behaviour does not. Some regional apps also omit the slice you think you are counting. Faculty keep a running list so students stop inventing funnels the software never logged.
A student from a live-commerce desk once built a beautiful funnel: impression, tap, add-to-cart, purchase. The app’s export only reliably gave impression and purchase. The middle steps were inferred from a shop backend that attributed differently after 48 hours. Their “conversion rate” was a duet between two clocks.
What we tell the room
If the app does not export it, you may not brief an editor on it. You may still notice it anecdotally. You may not put it in the weekly pulse as if it were a fact. Creator App Analytics is a discipline of humility about instrumentation.
Thai-language captions also fragment cohorts in ways global dashboards ignore. A show that posts the same cut with a Central Thai caption and an Isan caption is not running one experiment. It is running two audiences that the platform may still roll into one “Thailand” chip. We label those exports by caption language before we draw anything.
Auth that will not sit still
Shop connectors and some regional login flows change often enough that we refuse to teach a forever API in Audience Signal Lab. That limitation is written into the syllabus on purpose. Export hygiene travels. A brittle token does not.
If your team needs engineering-grade pipelines, say so in the contact note. We would rather introduce a developer than pretend the analytics tab is a warehouse.
